Police Record Seven Major Breakthroughs in Nationwide Operations - IGP Yohunu Accra, September 7, 2026 The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohunu, has announced seven major breakthroughs recorded by the Ghana Police Service following weeks of coordinated intelligence-led operations across the country. Addressing a press briefing at the Police Headquarters today, the IGP said the Service deployed special intelligence teams to the Northern, Greater Accra and Savannah Regions and worked with various Regional Commanders to undertake targeted operations.   Morocco Pitches Untapped Oil and Gas Potential At Africa Oil Week in Accra Salam Lahsini Morocco is using Africa Oil Week 2026 in Accra to showcase its largely underexplored hydrocarbon basins and to attract new investors, not to sign immediate  deals. Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Salam Lahsini a representative of ONHYM -  the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines - said the country has big potential that remains under-evaluated. "The Anti-Atlas has a big potential. We have demonstrated petroleum systems, we have an existing oil and gas production, not a big one, but we produce gas mainly in onshore basins, and we have also extensive underexplored basins in Morocco," he said.
